Katherine W. Cochrane

Founder and President of The CD-Info Company, Inc., Katherine has been active in the CD industry since around 1989. She has written articles for several industry publications, including Metatec's Nautilus CD-ROM Multimedia magazine and CD-ROM Professional. In 1992 she opened The One-Off CD Shop MidSouth, Inc., the first U.S. licensee of The One-Off CD Shop, Inc. of Calgary, AB Canada. In mid-1995 that company's name was changed to The CD-Info Company, Inc., and the type of business changed from CD recording services to specializing in electronic publishing on the internet and Compact Discs, and information services.

In early 1997, Katherine and Neil Enock formed a new company, The CD Information Webstore, Inc., to publish subscription-based commercial websites at www.cd-webstore.com.

Along with CD and Web publishing and writing about electronic publishing, Katherine participates in seminars and conferences and is a working member of the ANSI IT9-5 subcommittee. She was also a member of the SIGCAT Technical Advisory Group for their initial CD-R testing project. An independent technologist and amateur historian, she is available for consultations and speaking engagements about CD-R and CD-ROM production, electronic publishing and the CD industry.

Katherine lives with her husband, younger son and two Burmese cats in Huntsville, Alabama USA.
